When starting out as a Kratom user, many people won’t know their initial tolerance and can sometimes be faced with crippling Kratom nausea. This can be unforgiving, I myself included have had to learn the hard way. Kratom Nausea may happen as Kratom acts on the Opioid receptors in the brain. These are notorious for causing feelings of nausea and sickness.
Kratom Nausea can induce vomiting and puking. This can happen on rare occasions when the necessary steps aren’t taken when using it. Firstly, if you are only starting out with Kratom or using it for a first time, it shouldn’t be used on an empty stomach. Eat something an hour before taking it on a semi-full stomach to prevent nausea. Kratom is not water soluble, so if you are doing the toss and wash method, all of that powder will sink to the bottom of your stomach. This can create this so called kratom nausea and constipation.
If you find the toss and wash method isn’t working for you, or you find it unpleasant you can try boiling it which you can read about here. Boiling Kratom will help extract all of the alkaloids. Once boiled, you can then strain the liquid and remove the powder. This will ensure all you are drinking is fluids and not powder or residue which can have ill effect.
Dosing is also a very important factor when considering taking Kratom. Beginners should start slow and work their way up to their “sweet spot.” The sweet spot we’re referring to is completely different for everyone.
Many users like to start off their Kratom journey by writing out a journal. Take a journal, write down the strain, dose and method of administration. Wait for an hour or two and document the experience.
Do this for a number of weeks to get a feel for which strains agree with you the most and the dosages that are working for you. You can then continue to rotate the strains to fit your needs while keeping the dosages the same. This is highly effective to prevent tolerance issues and nausea. You will also find that your overall experience with Mitragyna Speciosa becomes much more enjoyable.
